Terms of Service
Last updated October 8, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Auctori ("we", "us") for using the Auctori app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
1. What Auctori does
Auctori looks at photos of a coin and gives you a die variety attribution, a grade signal and a value range based on publicly available sale information. It also lets you keep a collection.
2. Results are estimates
Attributions, grade signals and value ranges are estimates for information only. They aren't a professional grade, an appraisal, an authentication, or an offer to buy or sell. Photos can mislead, and two experienced graders can disagree on the same coin. Before you buy, sell, insure or submit a coin, check it yourself or with a professional. You're responsible for decisions you make using Auctori.
Auctori doesn't detect counterfeits, alterations, cleaning or tooling, and a result doesn't mean a coin is genuine.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google and must be at least 13 years old. Keep your Google account secure; you're responsible for activity on your Auctori account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and information you add ("your content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process and display your content to run Auctori for you, and to use your photos to train, test and improve our identification and grade-signal models. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except for copies already built into a trained model and backups that are deleted on their normal schedule.
Only upload photos you took or have the right to use.
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- use Auctori to break the law or to mislead buyers about a coin;
- scrape, copy or bulk-download the service, our results, or our reference data;
- try to reverse engineer our models or get around limits or security;
- upload anything that isn't a coin photo, or anything harmful or illegal;
- resell access to Auctori without our written permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Our service
We own the app, the website, our models and our reference data. These terms don't give you any rights to them other than using the app as intended. The service may change, and features may be added or removed. During early access, things will break sometimes, and we may reset or change features.
7. Third-party information
Value ranges are built from publicly available sale information. We don't control those sources and can't promise they're complete or current. Mentions of auctions, sales or other parties aren't endorsements, and we aren't affiliated with them unless we say so.
8. Disclaimers
Auctori is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
9. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Auctori won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or the price paid or received for any coin. Our total liability for any claim relating to Auctori is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the service. Sections 2, 4 (as to trained models), 6, 8, 9 and 11 survive.
11. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Auctori is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of that state.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Auctori after that means you accept the new terms.
